Dr. Cristina Mateo Rebollo is Associate Dean at IE School of Architecture, IE University, known for her articles on the impact of how technology impact in urban life.  With over 15 years of experience in the field, she is a specialist in urban ethnography, branding, communication, and E-Transformation & New Business Models. She teaches the relationship of "Sociology & Culture" and the social impact of Digital Transformation.  
She is also a member of The Advisory Board of The Instituto Español de Meficina de Estilo de Vida: https://www.iemev.com/ in the fields of Architecture, social, natural and built environments. 

Beforehand, she was Head of Strategic Planning and Marketing for the regional government of the largest region in Europe: Castile and Leon, where she was in charge of implementing a strategy leading towards the internationalization of the region, seeking private-public partnerships and managing a regional events´strategy, within the overall national strategy of Spain and Southern Europe/North Africa/Latin America.  
Formerly, she worked at Madrid City Council. There, she was in charge of the strategy for the internationalisation of Madrid. This involved a range of activities from participating in global events such as the Madrid bid for the 2016 Olympic games to the presence with own pavilion in Shanghai World Expo.  
Previously she worked as marketing manager and acting manager for Spain and Portugal in VisitBritain.  

Whilst she lived in the UK, she lectured on the topics of the media in Spain, and Spanish contemporary culture. She has a consultancy background in tourism, utilities and the public sector. (Marchfirst - AT Kearney). 

She holds a PhD in Sociology, Goldsmiths College. the University of London, the world's leading sociology department, ranked joint 1st in the UK for research intensity in sociology. 
She also has an Executive MBA from IE University (Business School). A trained journalist, she lived in London where she lectured on the topics of cultural consumption and the role of ethnic identity in a global city and the impact of technology.
